The American dentist who killed Cecil the lion is being sought for extradition to Zimbabwe to stand trial. Dr. Walter Palmer has gone into hiding as social media explodes with criticism over the incident. Zimbabwe says the crime happened in their country and Walter Palmer should be tried there.

The U.S. Secret Service said Thursday that the agency - which is heading security for the visit of Pope Francis in September - has not ordered Philadelphia businesses to close and did not dictate that SEPTA limit rail service that weekend. The agency instead stressed that Philadelphia would be "open for business" when the pope visits. Meanwhile, there are reports that the Benjamin Franklin Bridge will be closed that weekend.

The mortgage fraud trial of former Eagles player Irving Fryar and his 74-year-old mother, Allene McGhee took an unexpected turn in court Thursday when the key prosecution witness, William Barksdale admitted during cross-examination that he told a prosecutor that he did not believe the woman was aware she was participating in an illegal scheme. The state Attorney General's Office contends they were coconspirators with Barksdale in defrauding seven lending institutions in South Jersey and Philadelphia of more than $1.2 million in 2009.
