Philadelphia Music Co-op bringing 35 local acts to 54th Annual Philadelphia Folk Festival

The 54th Annual Philadelphia Folk Fest is only about three weeks away starting Thursday night, August 13th for campers and really kicking into gear Friday-Sunday August 14th -16th with music programmed on multiple stages. A lot of that music will be provided by incredibly talented Philadelphia-area musicians as a part of the Philadelphia Folksong Society's Philadelphia Music Co-op. The Co-op will be represented by 35 acts playing on every stage during the weekend (see the full list below). In it's fourth year the "Philadelphia Music Co-op works with area musicians to showcase, collaborate, and develop them as artists." It was also made possible by a grant from the Martin Guitar Charitable Foundation. Just to note, there are also a handful of other acts playing at the Folk Fest that are also local by not part of the Co-op (Low Cut Connie, Mason Porter, Levee Drivers, for example) who are just as great!
