Indego Bicycle Riders on I-676; Bank Robber Arrested; Dow Moving from Center City

After two bicyclists (pictured) were photographed riding rented Indego bikes on I-676 this week, there is discussion about signage at entrance ramps. The two likely ended up on the busy highway by mistake. The two helmetless riders probably entered 676 West at 8th street, confusing the two lanes there where one is for local traffic into Chinatown and the other dumps straight onto the highway.

Philadelphia Police and FBI agents worked together to arrest an accused female bank robber Wednesday and are now searching for a second suspect who is still on the loose. The woman and a man with a gun held up a TD Bank on the corner of Hermit and Ridge Avenues before noon Wednesday. They tried to make their escape, but one of the suspects dropped the money on the way out of the bank. The woman ran back and attempted to pick up the money, and she was captured.

Dow Chemical informed its 350 Center City employees that they were being relocated. Dow is moving out of the former Rohm and Haas building at 6th and Market and into a suburban corporate center in Collegeville. The move is part of a several-step realignment of Dow facilities in the Philadelphia region that combines researchers at the former Rohm & Haas Spring House facility in Montgomery County and the business staff in Center City. The move is expected to be complete by mid-2016.
