A water main break sent a geyser of water shooting high into the air from the middle of the street this afternoon in Montgomery County. It happened around 1:30 pm on the 600 block of Ashbourne Road near Rolling Green in Cheltenham Township. An 8 in. main broke and a 30 foot fountain of water erupted from the pavement for over 30 minutes before crews were able to shut off the water. A large hole now remains and crews are working to fix the issue. Water service was restored around 8 pm, road repairs are expected to be finished by midnight. See video of the break below:

Two young boys were struck by a vehicle, one critically injured, in North Philadelphia this afternoon. It happened after 1 p.m. along the 4600 block of Broad Street at Wyoming Avenue in the Logan section. A 4-year-old boy and 2-year-old boy were hit by a van as they crossed the street. A mother was crossing Broad Street with her three children when the two darted in front of her and were hit by the van. They were not in a crosswalk. The boys were both taken to Einstein Medical Center before being transported to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The 2-year-old suffered head trauma and is in critical condition. The 4-year-old suffered a broken leg and is in stable condition. The driver remained at the scene. No arrests have been made. The incident remains under investigation.

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg this afternoon in Chester, Delaware County. It happened around 1:45 p.m. near 10th and Concord Streets. He was transported to Crozier-Chester Hospital in stable condition. Nearby Chester High School and STEM Academy were both put on lockdown temporarily following the shooting as police searched for the shooter. The lockdowns were lifted just after 3 pm. The incident happened a few blocks from the schools. The school superintendent says that the victim is a student at Chester High School and had left school early on his own. He is not talking to police. Chester police are investigating the incident and are looking for the shooter.

Tonight,
Mostly Cloudy, temperatures in the mid/uppers 60's this evening in Center City
