A man from New York City was arrested last week and charged with smuggling cigarettes in Delaware. 25-year-old Mugahid Tahir Al Ghazali was stopped for speeding on state Route 1 south of Odessa. Authorities uncovered 394 cartons of untaxed cigarettes inside Al Ghazali's rental vehicle that they say were obtained in Virginia. He was charged with possession of untaxed cigarettes and attempting to evade Delaware excise tax. He was released after posting $5,500 bond.

A judge will allow the new owner of the former Revel hotel-casino in Atlantic City to terminate the leases of current tenants in the building which include restaurants and night clubs. U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Gloria Burns made the decision on Monday freeing Glenn Straub to renegotiate any leases or end them. Straub would be able to find new tenants for those spaces before the building reopens. Currently, the facility is without power and is being fined $5,000 a day by the city. It has received an offer from Wells Fargo to provide funds to power the building for two weeks. A decision has not been made yet on the offer.

The body of a woman was discovered under the Passayunk Bridge near the Schuylkill River in Southwest Philadelphia on Monday evening. The body washed ashore and was discovered around 6:30 pm. Medics responded and the female was pronounced dead at 7:00 pm. Police are still investigating and are trying to determine the woman's identity and a cause of death.
