Abducted Woman Dumped in Cemetery; Phillies Opening Day; Rock Climber Injured in Bucks Cty

A woman allegedly abducted from a parking garage near Jewelers Row is recovering from injuries she sustained during her ordeal. The 53 year old victim says she was abducted Saturday night by three men in a van who bound her wrists, ankles, and shot her with a Taser. She says they wanted the access codes to the safe where she worked which she did not know. The eventually dropped her off in a Darby Borough cemetery.

It’s a perfect day for a baseball game in Philadelphia. Today is opening day for the Phillies as Cole Hamels takes the mound to start the 2015 campaign against the Boston Red Sox. Today’s game at Citizen’s Bank Park in South Philadelphia is sold out. So far, it is the only sellout of the season. Game time is 3:05.

A rock climber is recovering from broken bones and other injuries after he fell about 60 feet at a state park in Bucks County. Park rangers say a man who fell from a rock face in Ralph Stover State Park in Pipersville on Sunday, about 40 miles north of Philadelphia. He was rappelling down some rocks when he fell and it took several hours to get the man off the area known as High Rocks. The climber was airlifted to Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia suffering from multiple fractures and other injuries.
