Havertown, PA, Mar 30th, 2015 - Haverford Spring Fest and Kelly Music for Life are proud to announce the final act added to the amazing lineup of headliners: David Uosikkinen's IN THE POCKET.

Uosikkinen, drummer for Philadelphia's THE HOOTERS, began the IN THE POCKET project for two reasons. The first is to celebrate songs written or performed by other Philly musicians and legends that he feels are icons of the creativity and musical impact of Philadelphia's musical roots and history. The second was to call attention to the importance of music education, donating a portion of recording proceeds to the SETTLEMENT MUSIC SCHOOL.

Formed in 2010, IN THE POCKET has so far recorded twelve songs from the Philly musical canon, combining a solid core of musicians with a rotating "who’s who" of Philadelphia rock and soul greats. Each recording puts a unique In The Pocket spin on songs as diverse as "You Can’t Sit Down", "Disco Inferno", "I Saw The Light", "Fall In Philadelphia", and The Hooters own "Beat Up Guitar", among others.

In The Pocket's latest release is the Philly punk classic originally recorded by The Dead Milkmen, "Punk Rock Girl". http://songsinthepocket.org/songs/punk-rock-girl/. This is in addition to the live shows that have become a super jam of Philly musical attitude and style.
