Food Truck Fuel Tank Inspections; Domestic Issues of Fallen Officer; Chain Reaction Crash

Philadelphia City Council is talking today about a bill requiring regular safety inspections of food trucks' fuel tanks. Council is trying to prevent another deadly accident like the one that happened last July when a food truck erupted in flames on Feltonville Street. Two women died in that incident and a leaking propane tank triggered the blast.

Darby Police say there were domestic issues between fallen Police Officer and firefighter Mark Hudson and his girlfriend. In August Hudson filed a complaint for terroristic threats and a Protection From Abuse against the girlfriend. Hudson was shot once in the chest on Saturday in his Glenolden home with his police issue firearm. He later died in the hospital.

Police are investigating a crash on Route 1 in Bucks County during a traffic stop that left a police officer and five others injured. The three-vehicle car chain reaction crash happened at about 11 p.m. Sunday after a police officer pulled over a car for speeding. While the officer approached the stopped vehicle, another car with four people inside hit the police car, which then slammed into the stopped car. Police say DUI appears to be a factor in the crash.
