This morning at 7:05 a.m. from Cape Canaveral, Florida, NASA successfully launched its new Orion spacecraft (pictured) on a mission that the US space agency hopes will foreshadow the first human expedition to Mars. The unmanned Orion capsule rose into clear skies on a four and a half hour test mission that could have huge implications on a plan that could have manned flights headed to Mars in the next 15 to 20 years. You can find more photos and progress reports on Orion by visiting HERE

The legislative committee investigating the September 2013 lane closures at the George Washington Bridge has not found any evidence that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie knew about the closures. The report also does not identify a clear motive for the lane closures, which snarled traffic in Fort Lee over the course of four days. The report describes the closures as “directly implemented” by Bridget Anne Kelly, the now-fired Christie aide who wrote an email in August 2013 calling for “traffic problems in Fort Lee.”

Upper Darby police are searching for a man they are calling an "animal." He's accused of sexual assault on a 12-year-old girl. Police say the accused attacker has a long history of trouble. The attack took place inside a basement apartment in Upper Darby where 20-year-old Tarell Gatling allegedly sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl who had run away from home on November 19th and met Gatling while walking near 69th Street and Walnut Street.
