Yandamuri Sentenced to Death; Nike Pulls AI shoe; North Dakota Fugitive Captured in Philadelphia

Montgomery County court has sentenced Raghunandan Yandamuri to death for the 2012 murder of a baby and her grandmother. The double homicide occurred during a failed kidnapping in a King of Prussia apartment building. Yandamuri is reported to have apologized for the murders, though he still claims they were not at his hands.

Nike is pulling back on their plans to release a shoe that honors former NBA star Allen Iverson. Iverson recently questioned how the company could use his former number and team colors on a sneaker when he’s already endorsed by Reebok. Iverson claims Nike used his identity, likeness and persona without his permission.

A fugitive wanted for murder was captured and detained in Northern Liberties. Anthony Campbell, 37, stands accused of the murder of his friend Shannon Brunelle that took place in Minot, North Dakota. It’s unclear just how Brunelle was killed, but Campbell was wanted in connection to the case since September 15th.
