The Saint Joseph's University Entertainment Marketing class, in conjunction with 1851 Records, their on-campus label, is hosting Rock To Remember on Friday, December 5 from 7-10 pm. The event is going to be held at JD McGillicuddy's in Manayunk to benefit the non-profit organization Music and Memory.

Music and Memory is dedicated to working with people who suffer from Alzheimer's and Dementia. These patients can be brought back to lively behaviors just from hearing a certain song, even for just a short period. The organization is dedicated to helping as many people as they can who are suffering from these diseases.

At the event, the staff will be collection any old iPods you have that can be donated to nursing homes to help out! We all know we have to keep up with the latest devices being released, so you must have at least one somewhere you can donate! They are also accepting iTunes gift cards and monetary donations to further benefit the cause. All donations will go directly to the organization. McGillicuddy’s is also offering a percentage of drink purchases to go back to Music and Memory.

At the event, music can be enjoyed on the first and third floors. The first floor will feature acoustic singers while a DJ will be on the third floor. On the second floor, there will be raffles and giveaways that don’t want to be missed! There is no cover charge but we encourage you to donate for the cause!

Please come out and support Music and Memory at the Rock to Remember Concert at JD McGillicuddy’s on Friday, December 5th from 7-10 pm!

For more information about the cause visit musicandmemory.org! If you would like to make a donation, please donate here http://www.razoo.com/story/Melodies-For-Memory .
