The man accused of abducting a Germantown woman last week will be returned to Philadelphia to face federal kidnapping charges here first before facing similar charges in Virginia. 37-year-old Delvin Barnes is accused of grabbing 22-year-old Carlesha Freeland-Gaither off the street in Germantown last Sunday. She was rescued three days later in Jessup, MD. After Barnes' arrest he was taken to Charles City County, VA to answer questions related to the abduction and attempted murder of a 16-year-old Richmond girl. Barnes will return to Philadelphia on Wednesday to face the federal kidnapping charges. After this case concludes he will head to Virginia for prosecution on the other charges.

Philadelphia Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted and robbed an 18-year-old man in Kensington last week. It happened around 12:20 a.m. on Sunday, November 2nd. The victim says he was followed by an unknown man after leaving a Chinese restaurant on the 3300 block of North 2nd Street. When the victim arrived home, the suspect forced him inside at gunpoint and sexually assaulted him. The victim's cell phone, cash, and house keys were also taken. The suspect is described as a hispanic male, 20-30 years of age, 5'7”, wearing a grey/red hooded sweatshirt, and light pants. He was caught on video at the Chinese restaurant. Anyone with information should contact Philadelphia police at 215-686-TIPS (8477).

Police in the Tacony section of Northeast Philadelphia responded to the Delaware River near Magee Lane and New State Road late this afternoon for the report of a car in the river. Witnesses saw a red Corvette go into the river and perhaps someone running away from the scene. There were tracks leading into the water. Fire and emergency crews were also on hand looking for the vehicle. They were not sure if there was anyone inside.

Tonight,
Clear skies, temperatures in the mid/low 50's this evening for the Eagles' game in South Philly.
