1938---Kate Smith, “The First Lady Of Radio”, sings “God Bless America” on CBS radio for the first time. She and the song go on the be the Flyers good luck charm. To honor her, a statue of her likeness was commisioned that sat outside The Spectrum and was brought back after the compeltion of the construction of the entertainment complex(2010).
