Ebola Death in Germany; NJ Men Nearly Struck By Space Junk; Catholic Shift on Gays

Ebola caused the death of a United Nations medical worker last night at a hospital in Germany. The 56 year old man was infected with Ebola in Liberia and died despite “intensive medical procedures” at the hospital. The man tested positive on October 6th and 41 other UN staff members who may have had contact with him are now under close medical observation.

Two New Jersey men were nearly struck and killed by space garbage falling from the sky. The workers at the Water Treatment Plant in Secaucus were startled when the object hit the ground near them making a loud noise and then bounced. They speculated it may be a heat tile from a space shuttle, however NASA says it’s not likely since a shuttle has not flown since 2011 and all tiles are accounted for. So what is it?

Catholic Bishops in the Vatican signaled a seismic shift yesterday in their views about accepting gays into the church, saying they had gifts to offer and that their partnerships, while morally problematic, provided homosexual couples with precious support. The bishops went on to say it’s time for the church to welcome divorcees and Catholics who cohabitate along with their children.
