A Widener University student is under arrest after the campus was put on alert this morning following a threat posted to social media. The message was anonymously posted around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday on the Yik Yak app. The student said he wanted to shoot everyone he hates because they "bully me every single day." He also referenced other mass shootings, including Columbine. Another student who saw the message notified campus officials. Chester Police were able to track down the suspect by following the IP address of the posted message and arrested him on campus. His room was searched and computer seized. He has been identified as 20-year-old Luis Andres Vela from Lodi, New Jersey, a freshman Criminal Justice major. He is facing charges of making terroristic threats, harassment and computer related crimes.

The auction sale of the Revel Casino hotel was approved today by a bankruptcy court in New Jersey. Brookfield Asset Management, based in Toronto, bought the recently closed resort for pennies on dollar for the bargain price of $110 million. The auction's only other bidder, Florida developer Glenn Straub, complained that the auction was set up against him somehow and that he intended to bid higher. However, Judge Gloria Burns ruled the auction was run properly and awarded the sale to Brookfield. Brookfield intends to reopen the casino and will have to apply for a license from the state of New Jersey. They operate two other casinos: Hard Rock in Las Vegas and Atlantis in the Bahamas.

Rock-and-Roll legend and Philadelphia-area native Bobby Rydell is looking for your help in finding a career's worth of sheet music lost over the weekend. 72-year-old Rydell played a show at Marple-Newtown High School's Performing Arts Center on Saturday night. He packed up the sheet music is a deep purple suitcase and put it in the back of his Cadillac SUV. As he was driving down Media Line Road towards West Chester Pike in Broomall, Delaware County with his wife and drummer they noticed the back hatch was open. Upon inspection, the case with all the sheet music was missing. These aren't just any pieces of paper, they contain all of his valuable music written specifically for his band over the decades. Rydell is offering a reward for the safe return of the bag and music. It would have hopped out somewhere along Media Line Road heading towards West Chester Pike in Broomall around midnight on Saturday. Someone may have already recovered the bag without realized its contents.
