Trooper Dickson Funeral; Kensington Fire; Penn Tops Billionaire List

Thousands of law enforcement officers from around the country came to St. Peter’s Cathedral Scranton to pay their respects to Cpl. Bryon Dickson, the PA State Trooper killed in an ambush this week. As mourners lined up 10 deep for the funeral procession under a brilliant blue sky, the search intensified for the suspected shooter, Eric Frein, a self-taught survivalist believed to be hiding in the dense woods in a swampy area of northeast Pennsylvania.

Philadelphia firefighters battled a 4 alarm blaze in Kensington overnight in a reported vacant building at American and York streets. However there was a 25 year old male inside the building who suffered burns to 80 percent of his body. Traffic and mass transit were disrupted through the morning rush and two firefighters were treated for minor injuries.

The University of Pennsylvania has been named to another prestigious list. And I’m not talking about Playboy’s “Party School” list. Penn has more billionaire undergraduate alumni than any other college according to Wealth-X and UBS Billionaire 2014 Census. A total of 25 billionaires hold bachelor’s degrees from Penn. Another surprising factoid from the census, 35% of the world’s billionaires don’t even have a college degree.
