New Jersey gaming officials have ruled that online gambling company Betfair can continue to operate on the Internet after it's existing brick-and-mortar partner Trump Plaza closes its doors in two weeks. David Rebuck, director of the state Division of Gaming Enforcement, say that Betfair will be allowed to continue to run their online casino until the Plaza turns in their gaming license, which may be some time after the September 16th closing. Betfair, based in London, should have enough time to find another casino to partner with, whether it is one that already offers internet gaming or one that does not. Under New Jersey law, Internet gaming companies must partner with existing brink-and-mortar casinos to take online bets. All Internet gambling must also take place within the state.

Philadelphia Police are looking for 4 people caught on video attacking a security guard at a liquor store in Fairhill a month ago. The incident happened at the Wine & Spirits Shoppe at 2717 N. American St. around 7:30 p.m. on August 2nd. The incident began when the security guard had to escort two female customers out of the store for arguing with a clerk. On the way out, one of the women placed a phone call and two men arrived. They attacked the guard at the front of the store, punching him and pulling him outside. One female hit him with a liquor bottle. The four of them kicked and punched the man on the ground until he was able to escape back into the store. The two females are described as white, 5' 6”, 20-30 years old. The males are hispanic, mid 20's. Anyone with information about the suspects or crime is asked to contact the East Detective Division at 215-686-3243 or 3244, or to submit an anonymous tip by dialing 215-686-TIPS (8477) or texting PPD TIP (773847).
