A man is in critical condition after being shot in his home in Germantown Friday night. The incident happened around 9:00 p.m. Friday in the 5700 block of McMahon Avenue. The 45-year-old man was shot once in the stomach by his 78-year-old mother. He was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center. It is believed that he may have fired at her first and she was returning fire. The mother was taken into custody. Police continue to investigate.

A father of four was shot twice in the head early this evening in Philadelphia's Juniata Park section. 37-year-old Cornell Drevitt was standing in a driveway on the 1500 block of East Luzerne Street before 6 p.m. Friday when he was shot at close range by an automatic weapon. He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Drevitt has a history of thefts and drug-related crimes. There are no motives or suspects at this time. Authorities are reviewing surveillance video.

A Bensalem teen was found guilty on Friday in the rapes and sexual assaults of 10 young girls. A jury found 19-year-old Joshua Benson guilty of all charges related to the sexual assault of 10 girls, ages 14-17, from April of 2011 to May of 2013. Benson was initially charged as a juvenile for the assault of five girls, but was charged as an adult as more victims came forward and he turned 18. He met most of the victims on an online dating service. All ten of the girls testified that they told him to “stop” but that he persisted in his aggressive sexual attack. Benson faces up to 80 years behind bars. Sentencing will take place in 90 days.
