LOOSE ENDS

2003---Sun Studios in Memphis was declared a National Landmark by the U.S. National Registry of Historic Places. The greats of early rock recorded at this musical treasure. Elvis Presley, BB King, Rufus Thomas and Roy Orbison are a sample of early rockers who recorded at Sun. Recently U2, John Mellencamp and Chris Isaak have cut albums at Sun. During the day, tours are conducted by very knowledgeable guides. During the evenings, it is still a working studio. If you go, you can sit at the piano Roy Orbison played and grasp the stand-up mic Elvis used.
