1967---Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell make their debut as a duo on the R&B charts with “Ain't No Mountain High Enough.” Terrell, a Philly native, was one of the finest singers of her brief time. She died of brain cancer 1 month short of her 25th birthday. Marvin never recovered form her death, depression and drug addiction followed him until his untimely death in 1984 from a gun shot by his father.
