Mayor Nutter and Questlove from The Roots were on hand at The Shops at Liberty this morning to announce this year's weeklong Wawa Welcome America celebration culminating with the Jam on the Parkway. This year, Nicki Minaj, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, Aloe Blacc, Jennifer Hudson, and NBC The Voice finalist Vicci Martinez will join The Roots for the FREE concert on the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum. The music will follow the Fourth of July parade along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and of course there'll be fireworks above the museum after the show.

Wawa Welcome America celebration starts on June 28th at the Shops of Liberty with a Block Party. Other highlights include Wawa Hoagie day on July 2nd. A five-ton hoagie ready to feed 17,000 people will be at the National Constitution Center. Peter Nero will return as Conductor Emeritus to conduct the Philly Pops for the “POPS! On Independence” concert on July 3rd.
