Gloucester County prosecutors have charged an ex-boyfriend in the murder of a woman found dead in her home on Wednesday night. 55-year-old Rocco L. Carsillo has been charged with first degree murder, third degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and other related offenses in the death of 50-year-old Margaret Ann DePietro. DePietro was found by a family member who went to check on her after she wasn't answering the phone. The autopsy determined she died from multiple stabs wounds. Carsillo and the victim had a relationship dating back to 2003 with a history of domestic. DePietro had even obtained a temporary retraining order last November. Carsillo, a convicted felon, is being held on $500,000 bail.

A crash with a police car led to a chase and multiple arrests in North Philadelphia this afternoon. It started at around 1:30pm when the suspect's car rear-ended a Philadelphia police cruiser near 13th and Girard. The car fled the scene leading to the chase. Officers were able to stop the vehicle at 5th and Oxford streets and take one man into custody while the second occupant fled on foot. The second suspect was eventually tracked down inside a lumber yard warehouse near 5th and Cecil B. Moore Avenue. The officer in the initial hit-and-run was not seriously injured.

The pregnant wife of a Pennsylvania State Trooper was killed Friday afternoon after being accidentally shot inside their East Norriton, Montgomery County home. It happened around 2:30 this afternoon at a house on the 3000 block of Stoney Creek Road in East Norriton. A gun was accidentally discharged and hit the pregnant woman. She was transferred to Mercy Suburban Hospital where she was pronounced dead. At this point it is unclear how the weapon was discharged. The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office and the East Norriton Township Police Department are both investigating the shooting. The trooper is a seven year veteran stationed at the Skippack barracks.

UPDATE: The woman has been identified as JoAnn Miller. The weapon that discharged was a handgun and was not a service weapon. Miller was struck in the head. Miller's husband and two children were home at the time of the shooting. It seems to have been an accident but authorities continue to investigate.

Tonight,
Cloudy, temperatures in the mid 30's this evening in Center City
