A popular amusement park in Sea Isle City is shutting down. Gillian's Funland was severely damaged by Superstorm Sandy and the owner has decided to close it for good. After putting $2.5 million into Gillian's Funland in 2009, owners spent hundreds of thousands to partially open last year after Sandy. Gillian's Wonderland Pier in Ocean City will remain open.

The Temple student struck by a stray bullet this weekend is fine, but students and parents are increasingly concerned about incidents like this just outside of the campus in North Philadelphia. A 21 year old student was stuck in the abdomen by a stray bullet while walking home with friends Sunday morning. Police have a suspect in custody.

Two more priests have been removed from ministry by Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput for substantiated claims of sexual abuse. Reverend John P. Paul of Our Lady of Calvary Parish and Reverend James J. Collins who worked as a professor of religious studies at Holy Family University in Northeast Philadelphia.
