The New Jersey Attorney General's Office has filed paperwork seeking to remove Trenton's mayor from office following his conviction of corruption last week. The request was filed Monday afternoon with the state Superior Court asking that Tony Mack be removed from of office, stripped of his pension and be barred from holding elected office in the future. Mack was found guilty of bribery, fraud and extortion charges last Friday. City Council President George Muschal would become acting mayor and complete Mack's term ending July 1st. A regular city election is scheduled for May 13.

A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for this Wednesday at 7 pm though Friday at 1 am. The exact line of the potential Nor'easter is still being worked out but we can expect snow, sleet and freezing rain to fall Wed. into Thursday. Some parts of the area may change over to rain. The National Weather Service is saying 6-8 inches right now, but of course that will probably change. We are all used this by now, right? As of 6 p.m. on Feb. 10, 9,339 PECO customers remain without electricity from last Wednesday's storm.

The Philadelphia police officer's union Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 has raised their reward from $10,000 to $20,000 in the investigation of the murder of Amber Long last month in Northern Liberties. Long was shot to death in front of her mother on the 900 block of North Front Street on Sunday, Jan. 19. Three men approached the two woman and attempted to take her purse. When she refused, she was shot. "The additional $10,000 is for the following: Information leading to the arrest of the persons responsible for the death of Amber Long as long as the information is received by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014. After which, the original $10,000 will still stand," the FOP statement read. This increase in reward is unsual as it carries a deadline. Tipsters need to come forward by Midnight on Sunday to claim the additional $10,000. The total reward in this case is now $47,000. Anyone with information should call (215) 686-8477.
