A grand jury is investigating two Philadelphia police officials for the alleged cover-up of an arrest in 2012. According to the Daily News, Inspector Aaron Horne and Captain John McCloskey are the subjects of the probe. Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey suspended the pair but did not fire them after they tried to erase all traces of a violent incident in Oak Lane.

A murder-suicide on the Main Line has shocked residents in Wayne after the violent incident left two people dead and 3 children orphaned. Police say the mother was shot twice in an apparent domestic dispute. The shooter then called police to report the incident and finally turned the gun on himself. Their 8 year old son was home at the time of the shootings. They also leave behind 15 and 17 year old daughters.

A 14 year old boy in Atlantic City turned himself into authorities last night after a shooting there that killed a 13 year old boy and injured another. Murder charges have been filed as well as aggravated assault and weapons offenses after the teen fired shots into a group of people hanging out on an AC street.

Sports
NFL championship matchups are set for next weekend. 49ers at the Seahawks and Patriots at the Broncos.

Weather
