Monsignor Lynn a Thinner Priest, Record Cold in Philly, Eagles Jackson Want Contract Do-Over

After 18 months in prison, Monsignor William Lynn emerged 80 pounds thinner. As he left court after a ruling overturned his 3 to 6 year conviction, a handful of hecklers pelted him with taunts and insults. Lynn will remain out on bail, living on house arrest and must wear an electronic monitoring device. Monsignor Lynn was warned that a violation of any bail terms will lead to re-arrest and jail. And Judge Teresa Sarmina told Lynn she had already signed an arrest warrant in advance.

Record breaking cold is sending shivers through the region. Wind chills got down to 30 degrees below zero early this morning. The cold is affecting public and private transportation. Some trains and busses are not running. And many cars are not starting or running properly in the extreme cold. If you go out, dress warmly and cover all exposed skin.

Eagles wide receiver Desean Jackson is asking the team to re-do his contract. Jackson switched agents from Drew Rosenhaus to Joel Segal and wants to be paid like the big-time guys in the league. Jackson is 2 years into a 5 year contract that guarantees $15 million and could be worth $51 million. He’d like more guaranteed salary in the final 3 years.
