A bail hearing has been set for Monday for former Archdiocese of Philadelphia official William Lynn after his child-endangerment conviction was overturned. Lynn will not be in attendance for this hearing as he is still incarcerated in state prison in Northeast Pennsylvania. A PA superior court threw out his conviction yesterday after it determined that the child-endangerment statute as applied in Lynn's case did not apply to supervisors. Common Pleas Judge M. Teresa Sarmina will hear the bail petition. She was also the judge who presided over the trial and sentenced him. Lynn has served a year and a half of a 3 to 6 year term.

A woman died and her dog was hurt as they were hit while crossing a highway last night in Delaware. Delaware State Police say Donna Potter, 44, was crossing westbound lanes of Pulaski Highway (U.S. Route 40) near Oriole Avenue in Bear, Del. on Thursday night when she was struck by a Kia Soul. She was taken to Christiana Hospital and pronounced dead. The dog was taken to the local veterinarian and treated. She was not crossing in a crosswalk or wearing reflective clothing. The driver was not injured and no charges have been filed.

Police are looking for a man wanted in two armed robberies in the Fishtown section. They both happened early on Thursday morning. The first happened at 2:15 a.m. at the CVS Pharmacy at 2638 East Cumberland Street. The suspect was in the store for a few minutes before approaching the counter holding out a plastic bag in the shape of a gun and demanding money. The worker yelled for the manager and the suspect ran. At 4:00 am the same man entered the Dunkin' Donuts at 717 East Girard Avenue and asked for a donut. He again held up a bag as if he had a gun and demanded money. This time he got cash and left on foot. He is described as a white male, 5'8” to 5'10”, about 160 lbs. He had a mustache with a light beard and a thin build. He was wearing a gray hooded jacket, a black shirt, blue jeans, a black knit hat and white sneakers. Anyone with information is asked to contact Philadelphia Police at 215-686-TIPS (8477), text a tip to PPD TIP (773847) or through PhillyPolice.com.
