Ruben Amaro is disputing the ESPN report that a team source said that the Phillies had "no chance' of re-signing Jayson Werth. Amaro wouldn't lie to us, would he?

That's his job. He's got to keep it open so that he helps Werth's worth, not to be too punny about it. I don't see how he'll re-sign Jason, but then again Ruben has surprised me before...

All I know is I will be extremely upset if Werth isn't re-signed. I might be all alone on that one though

No one wants to see him go Laura, but the Phillies simply can't afford what he'll be asking for. Don't get too upset.
