Bensalem Officer Injured in Crash, Rhodes Scolarships for Two in Philadelphia

A police officer was injured in a crash that may have involved a drunk driver. Lower Southampton Township police are saying a female Bensalem police officer was injured when her car was rammed by a van last night. The van driver, a woman in her 50’s was taken into custody on suspicion of drunk driving. The officer is being treated for back and neck pain.

Philadelphia has two Rhodes scholars among us. Evan Behrle of Oxford, Chester County and Alexander Wang of Doylestown, Bucks County will receive the prestigious scholarship along with 30 others in the U.S. who will pursue their graduate degree at Oxford University in the UK. Behrle plans to study urban poverty. Wang will earn his master’s degree in migration studies.
