The gunman suspected of using an assault rifle to open fire on TSA agents inside Los Angeles International Airport this morning is originally from South Jersey. 23-year-old Paul Ciancia has a family address and grew up in Pennsville, Salem County, N.J. He's been living in Los Angeles recently, but authorities are not sure for how long. Ciancia walked into Terminal 3 at Los Angeles International Airport around 9:30 a.m. Pacific time on Friday, pulled a rifle from a bag and began firing. He pushed through a security checkpoint and fired into the airport, Los Angeles Police said. A TSA official was killed and several others were left shot and injured. Ciancia was wounded in a shootout with police at LAX and taken into custody. The Ciancia family actually contacted Pennsville Police around 1pm this afternoon after receiving a text from Paul saying he was thinking of killing himself. LA Police had gone to his home but he was not there.

A 17-year-old special needs student drown this afternoon during aquatics class in Burlington County. It happened just before 1 p.m. at the Burlington County Special Services School District in Westampton, NJ. The Burlington County Special Services School is a public school with an attendance of more than 1000 student with special needs. They offer programs to help students with disabilities, autism, and behavioral issues. The name of the student hasn't been released. Officials are investigating the incident.

Delaware State Police have arrested the former headmaster of the elite Tower Hill School in Wilmington. Dr. Chris Wheeler made arrangements for his surrender and was taken into custody by Child Predator Task Force detectives who charged him with 25 counts of Dealing in Child Pornography. Wheeler could not initially be found when detectives tried to serve the arrest warrant on Wednesday. Now he has been processed and taken to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $1.5 million cash bail. The Attorney General's Office served a search warrant on October 22nd to Wheeler's home and office. He has since stepped down as headmaster of Tower Hill School.
