Police have arrested three men for the shooting death of a South Jersey gas station attendant this past August during a robbery. On August 25th, three men robbed the Garden State gas station on N Broad Street in Woodbury, NJ around 9:00 pm. During the robbery, 40-year-old attendant Surinder Singh was shot in the chest and killed. Cordero Hodge and Jamell Pierce, both 22, of Camden, and 24-year-old Isaiah Williams of Woodbury have been charged with his murder. Investigators says Hodge was the one who pulled the trigger. His bail is $1 million, the other two are being held on $750,000. Singh co-owned the gas station for a decade and lived with his wife and two children in Woodbury.

There has been a bear sighting in Mansfield Township, Burlington County. The bear was spotted on an off-ramp near Routes 68 and 206 shortly before 5:00 p.m. this afternoon. Traffic was stopped as the bear ran through the streets and police responded to the scene. Eventually it made its way back into the woods and disappeared.

Police have released surveillance video and are asking the public's help in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with an attempted carjacking and shooting in Society Hill. It happened at 1:45 am Monday near Second and Walnut Streets. The victim was returning to his car that was parked on the 100 block of Walnut Street when he was approached by two men armed with handguns who demanded his keys. The victim put up a fight and then tried to run away. He was chased down, pistol-whipped and shot in the back. The suspects then fled west on Walnut.

Suspect #1 is described as a Black male, 5’8″-5’10″, 150-160 lbs, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants and armed with a handgun.

Suspect #2 is described as a Black male, 5’8″-5’10″, 150-160 lbs, wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, and armed with a handgun. If you see these suspects do not approach them, contact 911 immediately.
