Riverton Murder Victim ID'd; TD Bank to buy Citizen's?; Chip Kelly won't pick QB yet

The body of a woman found fatally shot in Riverton, NJ, early Sunday morning has been identified. 22-year-old Te'Aira Denise Earvin of Youngstown, Ohio was discovered on Carriage House Lane, between Lippincott and Thomas avenues at 5:20 am. She had been shot twice and pronounced dead at the scene. The medical examiner has declared this a homicide. The investigation is underway and no arrests are underway. The crime comes a shock for the quiet riverfront town who haven't seen a murder since the early 1980's. Anyone with information is urged to call Burlington County Central Communications at 609-265-7113.

There are reports from London that TD Bank is considering making a $13 billion bid to acquire Citizen's Bank. TD Bank is based in Canada, but has U.S. Headquarters in Cherry Hill NJ. Citizen's Bank is based in Providence, RI, but has a major presence in Philadelphia with naming rights to the Phillies' ballpark. A combined TD-Citizen's bank would rival the area's top bank, Well's Fargo, but would certainly lead to branch closures and layoffs in neighborhoods where they have overlap. Spokesmen for the banks would not comment on the rumors.

Chip Kelly would not commit on who would take the starting snaps this Sunday vs the Dallas Cowboys in his day-after press conference. Nick Foles secured his second NFL win yesterday as a starter in a 31-20 victory over the Tampa Bay Bucs with great numbers going 22 of 31 for 296 yards and three touchdowns. Michael Vick was out with a pulled hamstring that he suffered in the second quarter vs the Giants. Kelly won't be ready to make a decision on who will start this week's battle for the top of the division until he knows more about Vick's health. That is not likely to come until later this week.
