The barricade standoff has ended. A Temple University student barricaded himself in the basement of a home with a gun near the campus yesterday. The standoff lasted 20 hours before police negotiated with the man witnesses saw pointing the gun out a window. Investigators say he has a history of mental health issues.

A woman's body was found in Riverton, Burlington County this morning about a block from the Delaware River. She had been shot to death and her body was found at about 5:30 this morning on Carriage House Lane. Anyone with information is asked to call authorities 609-265-7113.

There was a protest outside the closed running trails at Valley Forge Park yesterday. A few dozen runners jogged the five mile loop outside the park on the shoulder of the road to protest the closure due to the federal shutdown. Last week a runner was fined $100 for running on the jogging trail inside the park while it was closed.
