The Voice begins a new season tonight on NBC. The show won an Emmy last night for outstanding reality competition beating long-running winner, The Amazing Race. The blind auditions are first and in a special prerelease video viewers can get a peak at contestant Matthew Schular from Levittown, PA, performing Young the Giant's "Cough Syrup". Schular had all four coaches turn their chairs around at the same time just 11 seconds into his a cappella intro. They each were begging him to join their team, but you'll have to watch to find out who he choses.

Two people were rescued by the Coast Guard and a nearby Good Samaritan this morning after their 31-foot boat capsized about 8 miles out from Barnegat Light, NJ. The captain was able to radio for assistance and give his position while the boat sank. The Coast Guard responded with two Motor Life Boat crews and a MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew. A person aboard a nearby boat, the Jamaica II, saw two people in the water holding onto life rings. They were able to pull one of them to safety while the Coast Guard rescued the other. The captain of the capsized boat said several waves hit his boat and the bilge pump could not keep up.

Two former Coatesville school district officials have been accused of exchanging racist and sexist text messages about both students and staff. School Superintendent Richard Como and athletic director Jim Donato resigned suddently amidst the scandal. The messages were sent back in June and targeted minorites, using the N-word. They were only discovered by an IT employee a month ago while making technology upgrades to the district issued phones. The Chester County District Attorney's office is now investigating.

Clear, temps around 60 this evening
