A Lehigh University student has been found dead. According to the school, 19 year old Hanlon MacDonald from Albany, New York was found dead Thursday night inside her apartment. An autopsy has been scheduled but authorities say the death does not appear to be suspicious.

A new study says Philadelphia is number 1 in cell phone thefts and losses. SEPTA says one of the hot spots for theft is the Church Street Station on the Market-Frankford line. SEPTA has 12,000 surveillance cameras on the job 24/7 but they also suggest simple diligence for cell phone owners, like downloading the “find my i-Phone” app and be aware of your surroundings.

The School Reform Commission’s final meeting before classes begin drew protesters who urged parent to keep their kids home when school starts. The financial crisis has many concerned that the quality of education will suffer and there is growing separation from charter schools who have shown an ability to successfully raise funds themselves.

Sports
The Phillies open a three game home set with the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight.
