It was a surprise welcome home for a young soldier in Cherry Hill over the weekend. Francesca "Chessie" Vollaro returned from a tour in Afghanistan three weeks ago. The 21 year old graduated high school in 2010 and was surprised by a gathering of friends and a motorcycle parade. Chessie will participate in a beauty pageant and then pursue a career in law enforcement.

Jon Bon Jovi is back home in Sayreville, New Jersey today to help make an announcement about the Sandy Relief Fund. Bon Jovi, along with Governor Chris Christie and his wife, Mary Pat are getting together at the Sayreville Borough Hall to talk about the relief fund organized by Mary Pat Christie shortly after the storm hit the coastline in October.

SEPTA starts a 4 month construction project on the Norristown High Speed Line today. The Bridgeport Viaduct that spans the Schuylkill River will be closed during construction. During the closure, shuttle busses will be used to carry passengers between the Norristown Transportation Center and the Bridgeport station.
