Police in Collingdale, Delaware County have dug up the yard of a woman who has been missing for over two months. The team of county sheriffs and police cadaver dogs spent around two hours at the residence but did not find anything. Melissa Ortiz-Rodriguez, mother of two, has been missing since April 19th when she had planned to visit friends in North Jersey and never arrived. She was reported missing by her seperated husband a few days later when she never arrived at work or picked up the kids. Jose Rodriquez has been served other search warrants on his vehicles trying to find evidence of potential foul play. He now lives in Ocean Township, N.J.

Hundreds of former Philadelphia teachers and staffers recent laid off by the City headed to Harrisburg today to rally in the state capital. Recently about 3,800 teachers, assistant principals, and other staffers were let go because the School District of Philadelphia is $304 million short on budget. Those who boarded buses this morning hope to send a message to state legislators drafting the state budget that the City of Philadelphia and education should be a priority and money should be written in to help save important programs such as art, music, and sports. The deadline for the Pennsylvania state budget is June 30th.

The Philadelphia Flyers have decided to use their second compliance buyout on goalie Ilya Bryzgalov. They used their first last week on Danny Briere. They will still owe Bryz 66% of his salary but none of it will count against the team's salary cap. The Flyers had two amnesty buyouts to use since last last collective bargaining agreement. The two moves will free up significant cap space and allow the team to focus on acquiring talent.
