The Jersey Gumbo Cook-Off and Music Festival presented on Saturday, June 15th in Somers Point, NJ

On Saturday, June 15th, 2013 in Somers Point, NJ At The Shore presents a New Orleans Style Food and Music Festival. The festival is located in Somers Point Fire Company #1 on 447 Bethel Road, Somers Point, NJ. There will be live music from 1:00-10:00 pm.

The festival will be starring the Grammy winner Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience, original Springsteen E Street drummer and Grammy winner, Vini “Mad Dog” Lopez and License to Chill, Classic Rock/ Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band, and Jumpin’ Johnny Sansone.

There will be a variety of different gumbos for everyone to enjoy! The choices are: seafood, sausage, poultry, okra, vegetarian, pork, beef, and BBQ. Also, there will be a variety of different Italian and traditional festival foods.

The tasting for the gumbos will be open to the general public at Noon. The different resturants and chefs that will be presenting their best gumbo includes: Gregory’s Resturant and Bar, Sofia’s, Atlantic City Country Club, Harry’s Oyster Bar, Sandi Point Coastal Bistro, Crossroads at House of Blues, The Vagabond, The John Brooks Center, Latz’s by the Bay, Kings Lounge, Greate Bay Country Club, Tony Mart Presents, Uncle Woody Construction, and Main Street American Pub.

The proceeds for the festival will benefit the Shirley Mae Breast Cancer Assistance Fund, Access One Seashore Gardens Living Center, and the Somers Pointe Vounteer Fire Company #1.
