  by: iradioal - Philadelphia, PA
started: 05/24/13 9:39 pm | updated: 05/24/13 9:39 pm
The faith healing couple charged with murder in the death of their 7-month-old son have been ordered held without bail. Herbert and Catherine Schaible have been charged with third degree murder after their son died of dehydration and pneumonia. The Schaible's do not believe in modern medicine, only the power of prayer. Their defense attorney argued that they do not pose a threat to society and their seven other children are now in foster care. The judge cited a flight risk in remanding them to custody. He is concerned that other liked minded people or communities could help them escape and hide. He may reconsider the arrangement later. This is the second son the Schaible's have had die.
