Starting as a side-project of Jefferson Airplane in the early 1970's, Hot Tuna has continued to enjoy a productive and prosperous career as a West Coast blues rock band. Formed by bassist Jack Casady and guitarist Jorma Kaukonen, Hot Tuna possesses a solid example of the capacity to which a rock band can creatively prosper and compose classic rock gems. Releasing their first studio album in 20 years, Steady As She Goes, in 2011 the band stands strong as a powerful collective of talented songwriters.
