A party in West Chester involving young adults and West Chester Univeristy students got out of hand early Sunday afternoon ending with a car being flipped. A few hundred people paid to get into the house party on the 400 block of South Walnut Street. The party was already in full swing when police arrived at around 12:30 pm. The street was crowed with people and several flipped ae 2002 Trans Am Grand Prix onto its side. The victim of the vandalism was an attendee at the party. He was in the backyard when he heard a car had been flipped. The young man had received that car from his father when he passed a few years ago. His wallet was also stolen. The entire incident was caught on video.

A fiery accident on I-95 early on Sunday morning added to traffic mess and kept some from Broad Street run. A tractor trailer collided with an empty, disabled car near the Broad Street exit of northbound I-95 at around 6 a.m. Both the car and truck burst into flames. The driver suffered minor injuries. Both the southbound and northbound lanes were blocked until 9-10 a.m. turning 95 into a parking lot. Some Broad Street Race runners never were able to get to the race at all, instead were stuck on 95 on the way to drop off their cars at the Navy Yard. iradiophilly's Steve Kane thought he had an early start but instead sat in his car all morning. “I was still in my car [on I-95] at around 9:30 a.m. when I heard reports on the news that the first runners were crossing the finish line,” said Kane. With Broad Street closed, 95 shut down, and various detours getting to and from the race, the afternoon Phillies game, or just around town was a big hassle on an otherwise beautiful day.

Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay got rocked Sunday afternoon by the ailing Marlins pitching 2 1/3 and giving up 9 earned runs. After the game Halladay told the press that his right shoulder has been bothering him. He says that it's been sore since April 24th and getting worse. He is going to go to Los Angeles and see orthopedist Lewis Yocum. It is likely that Halladay will head to the 15-day disabled list. This injury is supposedly different then the shoulder strain that placed him on the DL last year. The Phillies will know more once Halladay undergoes MRI, CT, and other tests.
