Police are searching two suspects in a robbery of a Wawa in Delaware Sunday morning. It occurred at 5 a.m. at the store at 601 Ogletown Road in Newark, DE. They entered the store with bandanas on their faces and demanded money from the clerk, implying they had a weapon. The two made off on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Both have been described as 5' 5” tall black males. See Photo Below. Anyone with information is asked to call 302-366-71110 ext. 132 or 1-800-TIP-3333.

Closing arguments are set to begin the murder trial against 72-year-old Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell. The prosecution spent 5 weeks putting forth it's case on charges that include 4 counts of first-degree murder, one count of 3rd degree murder, and other charges such as racketeering, performing illegal abortions after 24 weeks, failing to observe the 24-hour waiting period and endangering a child’s welfare for employing a 15-year-old in the procedure area. Gosnell is accused of 'sniping' the spinal cords of babies born alive and viable during botched abortion procedures. The prosecution presented witnesses that testified that those babies were alive. They had voluntary movements, breaths, or cries. The defense rested without presenting any witnesses or evidence. Defense lawyer Jack McMahon will have to convince the jury that the babies were not born viable or alive. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. The jury could begin deliberations later this week.

Melissa Rodriguez, 30, of Collingdale, PA, is still missing despite some reports from her husband, Jose, that she had been found. Melissa was last heard from on April 19th. She told friends that she'd visit them for the weekend in Newark, NJ but never arrived. Her husband also thought she would be away for the weekend and did not notice there was a problem until the following Monday when she did not pick up the kids from school or go to her new job. Her car is still at her home in Collingdale. Rodriguez stands 5-foot-4-inches tall and weighs around 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. If you have any information on her whereabouts, please call Collingdale Police at 610-586-0502.
