Philadelphia's 29-story Cira Centre building next to 30th Street Station will host a giant game of the iconic Atari video game "Pong" later this month. The hundreds of LED lights that illuminate the Cira Centre at night will be used to display the paddles, balls, and score of the simple but groundbreaking 1970's video game. Players will stand on the steps of the Art Museum across the Schuylkill River and use giant joysticks to control the game. The facade of the Cira Centre will be turned into a giant arcade between April 19 and 24 as part of Philly Tech Week. The project was conceived by Frank Lee, a game-design professor at Drexel University, about 5 years ago. The project is in collaboration with Brandywine Realty Trust and Technically Philly. Don't be surprised if they bust out other classic games toward the end of the exhibit, like “Snake” or “Space Invaders.”

One person is missing and two have been rescued after a boat capsized in Delaware Bay this morning. The 40-foot fishing boat named Linda Claire was dredging for crabs when it sank at around 8:30 am. Two men aboard, Chris Serra, 27, and Dave Wood, 25, were rescued by nearby boaters aboard the Captain Brown and Sandra Lee. The Coast Guard are using helicopters and boats to search for a third man, 24-year-old Josh Cattlet, who is still missing from the fishing boat. The search will continue through sundown, after which the Coast Guard will re-evaluate.

UPDATE: No trace of Cattlet has been found and the Coast Guard has suspended their search.

Two Philadelphia schools (Feltonville's School of Sciences and the Arts and Clara Barton Elementary School) went on lockdown this morning in the Feltonville section after a report that a woman pulled a rifle on several students. The incident did not happen outside of a school but behind a rowhouse on the 4600 block of Ella Street. Chief Inspector Cynthia Dorsey said that there was some incident involving a dog when a woman came out of the house and pointed the gun at the students. The students notified school administrators who informed police. No one was home when Philadelphia Police and SWAT responded to the location. The school lockdown was lifted at 11:20 am.

UPDATE 8:00 pm: After police investigated this incident they have determined that the story that the children told school administrators was not true. Philadelphia Police and Homeland Security visited the home on Ella Street. They could not find a weapon. After interviewing the residents they were cleared of any wrongdoing.

A couple in New Jersey had a young child with them during a shoplifting spree inside the Kmart store located on Blackwood Clementon Road in Clementon, Camden County on Monday. Gloucester Township Police say they dismantled a video game display case, removed the systems from their boxes, and hid them under a coat in a cart. They were able to make off with two Xbox 360 gaming systems, a Xbox Kinect, and a Playstation 3 worth $1,444.64. If you have any information you are urged to contact police.
