An armed man has barricaded himself in the Dick's Sporting Goods in Falls Township, Bucks County, according to police. It started at around 7:30 pm when a man walked into the store at 150 Commerce Boulevard in Fairless Hills, stole multiples guns and ammunition from the firearms counter after pulling a handgun on the clerk and barricaded himself in the bathroom. Dick's is located in a large shopping center in Oxford Valley with many other major chains. It is behind Sesame Place and Frankford Hospital Bucks County.

UPDATE 11:30pm: The standoff in Falls Township has ended. The gunman was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest. in the bathroom. The shooter has been identified as Mark McCarthy, 58, of Levittown. McCarthy was involved in a standoff with Middletown police back in 2002 and had been involuntarily committed for mental health treatment in 2010.

A northbound NJ Transit train had to be stopped at an unscheduled station late this afternoon after a large brawl broke out on one of its cars. The fight began around 4:00 pm on a Bergen/Port Jervis line train 10 minutes after it left Secaucus. The train stopped at East Rutherford, NJ where authorities boarded the train to break up the brawl. 16 people were ejected and ordered off the train, 2 were issued summons for disorderly conduct. The train resumed after a 20 minute delay.

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has told Atlantic City casinos that they will be allowed to offer fantasy sports betting under a new pilot program that will be announced on Monday. Casinos will be able to accept the entry fees and pay out the winnings from the cash cages at the casinos. All the rules of the program will be available Monday but basically casinos will be able to run their own fantasy sports leagues or partner with other companies to do so. Players can draft players, manage teams, compete against others, and win cash for performance at the end of the season just like any other league with friends. It is not clear whether bets can be placed online or they have to be made in person at the casino.
