Mail Dumped in Bucks County, Mid-Week Storm May Impact Philly, Victim in NJ Hit and Run Identified

This morning, a tractor trailer carrying bundles of mail lost a load of letters, bills and parcels when the back doors somehow opened dumping the mail on Route 611 near Street Road in Warrington, Bucks County. Thousands of pieces of mail closed one of the northbound lanes while workers attempted to retrieve every last piece – even the junk mail.

A storm headed for the east coast mid-week will have some kind of impact on the Philadelphia area, but at this point it looks like we will again miss the worst of this one. A foot of snow could get dumped in Virginia and West Virginia. Baltimore and Washington could get several inches. Philly may get all rain or possibly a wet mix by Thursday morning.

Authorities identified the woman struck and killed by a pick up truck in a hit and run Sunday evening. The victim is 67 year old Joyce Putmon of Blackwood. She was crossing the Black Horse Pike last night when she was hit. Police are searching for the truck, believed to have a gray back with a large homemade box in the flatbed.
