A young autistic man and his caretaker were shot this afternoon after being mistaken for burglars by an off-duty Camden police officer. The 21-year-old autistic man, Louis Medina, was on his way home from school when he banged on the door of the officer. The off-duty cop thought his house was being broken into and fired through the ajar door. Medina was shot in the arm and is in stable condition however his caretaker was more seriously wounded. Both men were taken to Cooper University Hospital. Medina was dropped off around 3:50 pm at his home on the 2800 block of Arthur Avenue. Instead of going to his house he went across the street and began banging on the officer's door. His careaker tried to get him to stop and come home. The officer has lived there for decades and the Medina grew up there. The officer has been placed on administrative leave pending investigation.

The Philadelphia Phillies are set to start Grapefruit League action on Saturday against the Astros. Last year's .500 81-81 record left much to be desired after the 102 wins of 2011. This will also be the first time Chase Utley will play a Spring Training game since 2010 due to knee problems. Ryan Howard will participate in Spring Training this year too, missing all of last spring with his left Achilles injury. Having those two healthy from the start, along with Roy Halladay is a big improvement. The next month or so will be a big test for figuring out who will be playing in the OF. Tomorrow's lineup:

1. Ben Revere, CF

2. Michael Young, 3B

3. Utley, 2B

4. Howard, 1B

5. Darin Ruf, LF

6. Domonic Brown, RF

7. Laynce Nix, DH

8. Yuniesky Betancourt, SS

9. Erik Kratz, C

The Phillies will have 10 players at the World Baseball Classic:
Catcher Tim Kennelly (Australia), infielder Lucas Rojo (Brazil), right-hander Phillippe Aumont (Canada), outfielder Tyson Gillies (Canada), left-hander Jay Johnson (Canada), infielder Pete Orr (Canada), right-hander Rodrigo Lopez (Mexico), catcher Sebastian Valle (Mexico), shortstop Jimmy Rollins (USA) and left-hander Cesar Jimenez (Venezuela).

Phillies first-base coach Juan Samuel will be coaching with the Dominican Republic. Ernie Whitt, who is the Phillies' Minor League catching coordinator, will manage Canada.

These players/coaches will leave training camp to participate in the WBC for their respective countries.
