Authorities in Lambertville have recovered a body from the icy canal that they believe is missing 39-year-old Sarah Majoras. Majoras has been missing since Saturday at 2 a.m. when she left John and Peter's bar in New Hope, PA and walked across the bridge over the Delaware river towards her home in New Jersey. Divers, cameras, and sonar have been searching the canal all day today which is frozen over in many spots.

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony Kearns confirmed that they found a body in the Delaware & Raritan Canal on Wednesday that matches the description of the missing woman at a 5:45pm press conference. At an earlier 3:30 pm press conference he had stated they had still not found the woman but were put all their efforts into the search. He repeated his plea from earlier today, they want help from the public with any information about what they may have seen or heard so detectives can figure out what happened. They do not believe foul play was involved but the medical examiner will be able to determine that during the autopsy.
