Doctor Murder Suspect Behavior, Archbishop Chaput Leads Anti-Abortion March, LCB CEO Rehired

The admitted killer of CHOP Pediatrician Melissa Ketunuti showed no signs of violent behavior prior to the murderous rage that left the young doctor dead and on fire in her basement. Jason Smith, according to friends and neighbors, was a responsible family man who was helpful and generous and showed no signs of a violent temper. He now faces murder charges.

Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput is leading thousands of Philadelphians to Washington for the annual anti-abortion March for Life. Chaput calls the Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion an error comparable to the Dred Scott decision in the 1850's legalizing slavery. Chaput says it is a matter of human dignity and citizens can change the laws on abortion as they did with slavery.

Governor Corbett is pushing for privatization of Pennsylvania’s liquor sales. Now the Liquor Control Board’s parting CEO Joseph Conti is being hired back and being paid over $80 per hour. Last week, Conti announced his last day as CEO would be Friday. But a provision in the state retirement code permits former employees to return on an emergency basis.
