The clergy sex abuse trial begins today in the case of a priest and lay teacher at St Jerome's Parish in Northeast Philadelphia. Both men are charged with assaulting the same boy who was a 5th and 6th grader in 1999. Father Charles Englehardt, now 66 years old and the teacher, Bernard Shero deny all allegations in this case.

Chickie and Pete's is being sued by a group of employees. Fifteen bartenders and wait staff have joined the unfair labor practice suit claiming the owners are skimming their tips, forcing unpaid overtime and require employees to buy uniform shirts and their own vacuum cleaners. Owner Pete Ciarrocchi says he will make policy changes if necessary.

Police in Voorhees have arrested a woman possibly connected with a hit and run over the weekend that injured two women. The driver has been identified as 44 year old Michelle Toussant of Berlin, New Jersey. Two victims in their 20’s were walking along Route 561 when they were hit. They are in critical condition.

Weather
Cloudy with a few showers today. 56 in Center City.
