Police in are investigating reports of 46 cars having their tires slashed in West Philadelphia. So far, 46 car owners have reported the vandalism that happened overnight on the 4900 to 5100 block of Hazel Avenue and on the 5300 block of Chancellor Street in West Philly. Police would like your help. Anyone with information is asked to contact Philadelphia Police.

According to NHL sources, the planned remainder of the hockey season will be 48 games. With the end of the lockout, the abbreviated hockey season can finally get underway with the Flyers taking the ice in less than 2 weeks, probably January 19th. According to the original schedule, the Flyers were supposed to play Calgary on that date.

Former Philadelphia police officer, Keith Gidelson was sentenced to four years in prison for dealing steroids. Judge Paul Diamond imposed a sentence above the normal federal guideline. Gidelson claimed his bad behavior was a result of Post-traumatic Stress Syndrome, but the judge disagreed, having Gidelson taken into custody immediately to begin his sentence.
